The best bet at Punchestown is Fleur Au Fusil in the closing 2m½f Grade 3 mares’ bumper (6.35).
Patrick Mullins is on stablemate Aurora Vega, but that shouldn’t be seen as a negative as Jody Townend has ridden Fleur Au Fusil on all of her three starts and was probably offered the ride.
The combination were successful in bumpers at Naas and Leopardstown on Fleur Au Fusil’s first two starts, and she went off at just 10-1 for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham after those wins.
She pulled too hard there, despite being fitted with a first-time hood, but still shaped well when only 12 lengths behind Jasmin De Vaux in seventh, and this looks like an easier race.
