"I'm delighted with the Swiss Spirits I've seen at Goffs," said Ed Harper of Whitsbury Manor Stud. "Lot 818 was a lovely colt and I know of plenty of nice ones going to Tatts next week. They seem to have inherited their sire's strength."
"It's a German family I know well," said Railton. "There's a bit going on - Lucky Speed has been Group 1-placed again and you have Magic Hurricane in there."He'll come back next autumn. In terms of Sterling, I thought he'd make around that. He's the first one I've bought this week - it's very strong for the right horse."
"A lovely horse who will come back as a yearling," said O'Ryan, acting on behalf of an undisclosed client. "The sire looks to be the business.
"Anything that's nice has been selling really well so I thought he'd make around that."
Ross Doyle, who signed the ticket, said: "We thought she was the nicest filly here and she's by a very good stallion, one we've had a lot of luck with. She's been bought by Colm McEvoy to resell next year, perhaps in Book 1."
"The stallion's had a good year with his two-year-olds," said Holland. "He's a good type of colt."
"She's been bought to race," said Alan Cooper. "She's a lovely filly. We raced the mare - she was with Marco Botti - and bred this filly with Franco Vittadini - it's one of his lovely families that he's developed."We sent quite a few mares to Maxios and we're very pleased with the foals."
"He's from the Bella Colora family - I was involved in the original purchases of those Meon Valley foundation mares so it's a family I know well," he said. "We both thought this was an exceptionally nice colt."I thought there were some lovely Excelebration foals at the sales last year and we were very pleased to be able to buy a yearling by him at the sales this autumn."
